The South Korean company Doosan is one of the most influential companies all around the world. Their engines are water-cooled and are optimized for use with a diesel oxidation catalyst, a cooled exhaust gas recirculation and a diesel particulate filter. So, these two Doosan excavators have successfully replaced their predecessors respectively.
The Doosan DX490LC-3 and DX530LC-3 are specifically designed with the latest innovations and most advanced technologies, in order to gain more engine horsepower, lifting capacity, greater bucket digging force and better fuel efficiency. For example, their engine features four-valves per cylinder, electronic control and a high-pressure design that allows direct fuel injection. Also, the swing torque has been increased for over 20%, allowing the excavators to easily swing uphill and improving their ability to backfill trenches. This leads to decreased time per meter of trench. The bucket digging force of these Doosan excavators has been increased for about 3%, making them more suitable for operating in tough conditions and on rough terrains. Of course, this leads to significant improved production and decreased cycle times.
As mentioned before, the lifting capacity is greater than their predecessors for about 2%. It may seem as a little difference only, but in the construction industry, even single percent counts. So, the ability of these two excavators to lift and move more material with each cycle is greatly increased. With all these improvements, the cycle times and the truck loading time are faster, enabling more work to be carried out faster per hour. Additionally, the Doosan DX490LC-3 and DX530LC-3 come with many innovative smart systems that increase the accuracy of their performance, as well as their productivity.
One of the best new features of these Doosan excavators is the Intelligent Floating Boom option. It enables the boom of these excavators to move up and down, allow the operator to stay focused on its task only. The Intelligent Floating Boom option also decreases the workload of the excavators and increases their efficiency. It was specifically designed to allow the boom move easily and freely.
